More details:

This home is located in Battle Ground, Washington, an easy 40 minute drive from downtown Portland. The Mixed Medley Quartet consists of clarinet, bass, cello and piano.

More about the Mixed Medley Quartet:

Jules Elias is a born-again clarinetist who has had the privilege of returning to his first love, playing the clarinet after four decades in medicine. Jules was principal clarinetist in the First Division Band during the Korean War. He was principal clarinetist for the University of Portland Orchestra and is active with a variety of Portland chamber groups. Jules is the coordinator of  Mixed Medleys, chamber musicians performing at local northwest venues. He has especially enjoyed making contact with the composer Rick Sowash ( from Ohio) through e-mail and by playing his wonderful music.

Tina Frost took up the bass later in life and feels lucky to play “Enrica,” her 143-year-old  Italian contrabass. She  has performed with the Newport Symphony Orchestra and with a local jazz trio, “Ladd’s Condition.” Tina dabbles in free improvisation and other musical delights.

Jane Halling has been performing on the cello for many years. She was a member of the Oregon Symphony, the Portland Opera Orchestra, and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. She has also taught private cello lessons to many appreciative students. Currently, Jane enjoys chamber music and plays with several different chamber groups.

Marlise Stroebe has performed in the Northwest for over 30 years as a soloist and for group concerts. She performs often for The Old Church concert series. She performed holiday concerts at Salishan Lodge and the Heathman Hotel for ten years. She was the pianist for the St. Mary’s Academy Choir for  five years. Marlise enjoys working with a variety of chamber music venues and providing music for labyrinth walks. Marlise and her husband David owned a publishing business for 22 years.  They feel very fortunate now to have the time and space to concentrate on music and art for their friends and family.

The performance will take place in Marlise's studio:
